If you are, then you might be interested to see mapping for the proposed 2017 -2020 NVZs which were published by Environment Agency (EA) on behalf of DEFRA here. At the sametime on www.gov.uk DEFRA posted the Method statements setting out processes used to identify waters polluted by nitrate from agriculture which were used to review the 2013 NVZs and determine the Zones that will apply from 2017 to 2020. There are three types of designation:
- surface water;
- groundwater; and
- eutrophic.
