More Online Guidance Published for Water Framework Directive (WFD) Assessments

Towards the end of last year the Environment Agency published online Guidance headed as Water Framework Directive assessment: estuarine and coastal waters but known as ‘Clearing the Waters for All’.  This  guidance is for activities in the marine environment up to 1 nautical mile out to sea and sets out how to assess the impact of your activity in estuarine (transitional) and coastal waters for the WFD.  If you are interested in reading this guidance then please go to https://www.gov.uk/guidance/water-framework-directive-assessment-estuarine-and-coastal-waters.  At the sametime they published a list of  priority substances and certain other polluting chemicals as set out in the Water Framework Directive (WFD) and Environmental Quality Standards Directive (EQSD) which can  be found here.
