This section of GEM‘s website has been inspired by Michael Bourke at www.scicamps.org, who’s email to GEM‘s served as a reminder of how early we can generate an interest in geology in future generations, whether it is something as exciting as a visit to the Big Pit (the National Coal Museum) or finding out whether you can recognise different sources of rock used for gravestones and how they weather over time ( see https://www.geolsoc.org.uk/ks3/gsl/education/resources/rockcycle/page3718.html). So if you want to inspire your children or simply develop a new hobby then you might want to check out some of the awesome resources below. And if you have an amazing pictures or geology vacation destinations which you would like to share then please do get in touch.
